Hey folks, here to explain all the new submissions I've been dropping. They're part of a new fundraiser I've concocted called CARE-icatures. (www.careicatures.com)
A dear friend of mine, Teri, is going through a tough legal battle to retain partial custody of her daughter, Nira. (You may remember Teri from DrawingsforTeri, which I ran to help her with medical expenses - she's disabled, so a limited income is a bear.) She's a great mom and she doesn't want to take Nira away from her dad or anything like that, she just wants to continue being in her life and loving her. Nira wants this too, and Teri has a strong case, so we're hoping she can make it!
But legal fees are expensive, and as I mentioned above, she's disabled from working at the moment by her chronic illness. (It's called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, though it was recently renamed as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Blargh!) So I've re-vamped Drawings for Teri as a quicker, more lightweight, cost-effective fundraising program.
Here's how it works: Donate at least $15 to Teri's legal fund (GoFundMe link: www.gofundme.com/gp5mnrzk) and I'll draw you or a family member as a superhero! Other fictional characters and even OC's are of course allowed. Get some cool art (lots of folks like to make it their Facebook profile pic) and support a great cause!
